I’m Tom, also known as Switch. I’m a Hampshire-based photographer working across the UK, creating bold, character-led images across boudoir, portraits, cosplay and commercial photography.

THE APPROACH

The Person Comes First.


For me, photography has always been about the person in front of the camera. The lighting, location, styling and creative ideas all matter, but they should support you rather than overpower you.


I’m drawn to photography with atmosphere, strong lighting and a sense of story, but I don’t believe every shoot needs to fit the same style. Some sessions are dark and dramatic, others are softer, more natural or completely stripped back. What matters most is creating images that feel right for you and reflect the person, character or idea we’re photographing.


You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. That’s my job.


Whether it’s your first professional photoshoot or you’re completely comfortable in front of a camera, I’ll guide you throughout the session while still giving you room to be yourself. We’ll work at your pace, build ideas together and adjust things as we go.


I want shoots to feel collaborative rather than like you’re simply being placed in front of a camera and told what to do.

You are always in control of how your photographs are used. Images are never shared publicly without the appropriate permission, and if you want your session to remain completely private, that is absolutely fine.

HOW I CREATE

Embrace The Creative Chaos.


I like planning a shoot properly, but some of the strongest photographs happen when an idea develops naturally once we start creating.


That might mean changing the lighting, trying something we hadn’t originally planned, moving to another part of the location or following an idea that suddenly works better than what was on the mood board.


The plan gives us direction. The creative chaos is where we sometimes find something better.

The style may change depending on the project, but the focus remains the same: creating images around the person, character, product or story in front of the camera.

Boudoir

Confidence-led, private and fully guided photography built around you. From softer and more natural portraits through to darker, bolder ideas, the aim is always to create something that feels personal rather than following a formula.

Headshots, personal branding, lifestyle and creative portraiture for individuals, couples, performers and anyone looking for photographs with personality and purpose.

Cosplay

Character-led photography built around the cosplay, the person wearing it and the world the character belongs to. Shoots can range from convention portraits to fully planned location sessions with lighting, atmosphere and storytelling developed around the character.

Commercial

Creative photography for brands, businesses and creators, including campaign imagery, product-led content, personal branding and promotional work. Commercial projects are developed around the brief and quoted individually based on the location, requirements and final deliverables.

WHERE I WORK

Based in Hampshire. Available across the UK.


I’m based near Alton and Four Marks in Hampshire, but I’m not limited to the local area.

I regularly travel for shoots and I’m happy to work with clients, creators and brands across the UK when the project is the right fit.

Being Hampshire-based gives me a strong local base, but where we create the images should be driven by what works for the shoot rather than simply where I live.
